Gentlemen, I am a newbie Ijust laid down an epoxy primer and ppg base coat on my 72 buick skylark convertible which came out good then I sprayed an initial light (dry ) coat of clear and decided I would rather lay it on wet I did a much better job than I ever thought I would and if not for 3-4 drips in the clear I might not even have wanted to wet sand and polish , thats how nice it came out . But unfortunately I need to remove some drips in an otherwise great finish the clear is 2 days old how do I remove runs and then bring back to high gloss. Please remember I am inexperienced and do not know the lingo I need step by step materials and procedure unfortunately Thank god for guys like you on this sight . Thanks Jamie

How you go about it depends on a few things......which part of the car has the runs? If it is on a fairly flat area then I would scrap the run carefully with a razor (do NOT slice the run, hold the blade 90 degrees from the panel and "drag" the blade over the run, scraping the run flat and even) blade first and then block it with 800 grit wrapped around a very small piece of a paint stir stick.

After the run is leveled you can start on the usual sanding and buffing routine.

If you can post some photos of the runs then we can fine tune our advice to your situation.
